चेन्नई : तमिलनाडु के इरोड लोकसभा क्षेत्र से एमडीएमके सांसद ए. गणेशमूर्ति (76) का गुरुवार को कोयंबटूर के एक निजी अस्पताल में निधन हो गया। लोकसभा का टिकट नहीं मिलने से वह परेशान थे। उन्होंने जहर खाकर आत्महत्या का प्रयास किया था ।
शुरू में उन्हें इरोड के स्थानीय अस्पताल में ले जाया गया। लेकिन हालत बिगडऩे पर उन्हें कोयंबटूर के एक निजी अस्पताल में रेफर कर दिया गया। उनके रिश्तेदारों के अनुसार, गणेशमूर्ति ने कीटनाशक खा लिया था, इसके कारण उन्हें अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया और बाद में उनकी मौत हो गई।
