टोक्यो । ऑस्ट्रेलिया के शो जम्पर को कोकीन टेस्ट पॉजिटिव आने के बाद टोक्यो ओलंपिक शुरू होने के महज दो दिन पहले निलंबित कर दिया गया है। 36 वर्षीय जैमी केरमोंड जो ओलंपिक में डेब्यू करने के लिए तैयार थे लेकिन उनका ए सैंपल पॉजिटिव आया, जिसके बाद उन्हें प्रारंभिक रूप से निलंबित किया गया। इक्वेस्ट्रियन ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने बुधवार सुबह एक बयान के माध्यम से केरमोंड के निलंबन के बारे में बताया।
बयान में कहा, इक्वेस्ट्रियन ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने ऑस्ट्रेलियाई राष्ट्रीय डोपिंग रोधी नीति 2021 के तहत जंपिंग एथलीट केरमोंड को अस्थायी रूप से निलंबित कर दिया है। केरमोंड को टोक्यो 2020 ओलंपिक खेलों सहित किसी भी वाडा अनुपालन कार्यक्रम में भाग लेने से प्रतिबंधित किया गया है।
ऑस्ट्रेलियन ओलंपिक समिति (एओसी) ने कहा, स्पोर्ट इंटीग्रिटी ऑस्ट्रेलिया (एसआईए) द्वारा सूचित किए जाने के बाद एओसी को घुड़सवारी एथलीट केरमोंड के अस्थायी निलंबन से अवगत कराया गया है। ऑस्ट्रेलियाई ओलंपिक टीम चयन समिति इस मामले पर विचार करेगी।
